About Orange Sky Australia
Orange Sky Australia (OSA) is a not-for-profit organisation focused on the provision of free laundry, showers and non-judgemental conversation to people experiencing homelessness. We're growing, and fast. Since 2014, we've expanded our reach to every capital city in Australia and most recently across to Auckland and Wellington.
Through a network of vans and with the help of our incredible volunteers across Australia and New Zealand, our mobile service is a catalyst for positive, genuine conversation. We’re driven, dedicated, insanely ambitious and a little unconventional. We take our work seriously, but not ourselves. We work hard and ‘get it done’, but always make time to celebrate each other’s success.
We love sharing stories. Over the last six years, we’ve positively connected thousands of people simply by sharing stories and starting conversations.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), this role will oversee Orange Sky’s Modern Marketing team’ - driving the development and execution of our marketing and campaign strategy through data driven decisions to support our goals of positively connecting communities.
In a nutshell, the Senior Marketing Manager will:
Make things happen
You’ll take the wheel and hold responsibility for developing Orange Sky’s marketing strategy, and then know how to put your foot to the floor when implementing it across a range of audiences, products and services. You’ll ensure projects are completed to budget and within agreed time frames, and be heavy on processes, yet fluid in your approach to getting things done – curveballs don’t discourage you, because you’ve mastered the art of mapping the steps involved to achieve targets and lead people to an outcome.
Reflect, then make it better
Continuous improvement, innovation and imagination is in our DNA at Orange Sky. You’ll drive data collection, synthesisation and insights to inform strategy and adapt the organisation’s approach. Managing stakeholders’ expectations and your adaptable communication style will ensure we achieve desired outcomes and targets. You’ll enjoy challenging the norms - leading continuous improvement and efficiencies in workflow processes is definitely your thing.
Lead and lead well
This role will bring a level of maturity to lead a team of big personalities with even bigger goals; adjusting management and leadership approaches to best support the team, individual goal setting and empowering people will come naturally to you. You have an innate ability to recognise potential in people and a knack for drawing it out. Encouraging and channeling creativity into a strategic, structured approach will be key in this role, but never at the expense of our core mission and values.
Convinced this is the role for you?
We need someone who can think outside the box, and understand our unique environment. Reporting and data analytics is your superpower, and you’ll have proven experience leading continuous improvement and efficiencies in workflow processes. Not-for-profit experience is great but not essential, and you’ll bring at least 5+ years’ experience in similar roles.
